This presentation is based on self-management procedures woven together with insights from The RICH Theory by Kehle and Bray. The presentation will go over some common pitfalls and reinforcement loops that seem to contribute to the ruts parents/caregivers often get stuck in. The presentation will also propose ways to break those cycles to promote competence in key skill areas.

Presenter

Matt Echanwas minted as a BCBA in 2018, after completing his Master's degree in curriculum and instruction through Arizona State University. He joined Feltz Therapy Services in 2021, and recently accepted the ABA Director position. His has been working in behavior health for almost 20 years, from early intervention to semi-independent living. His nterest in supporting individuals with autism began when his son was diagnosed in 2006, and it has taken me in a direction I never imagined for my life. He continues to inspire and to challenge me to look for creative solutions. As director at Feltz, he oversees clinical programming initiatives, recruitment and training, and ensuring we provide the best possible experience for our families.
