--Have conversations about how to maximize independence for your specific situation
--Recognize that all providers are not right for you and your situation
Autism TN has explored opportunities or resources that maximize independence for adults and teens on the autism spectrum. The original plan was to create an adult centered conference with an exhibit hall but it became clear that each situation is too unique for the broad strokes a conference could provide. To meet the individual needs of each adult on the autism spectrum, we needed to create a space for hundreds of specific conversations, rather than one large conversation.
We've found education, skill development, transportation, employment, recreation, social networking, insurance, financial planning, housing, medical, dental, mental health, and so many more opportunities and resources for you.
Don't miss this chance to meet area providers face-to-face and learn about ways they can (and want to) support you. RSVP so we can have a rough headcount for planning purposes.
